Sunday Funday!

From now on, I think I'm going to name my outfits Sunday Funday. Sunday seems to be the only day where I can dress up. Monday through Friday are a drag to me since I work almost ALL day long and recently I started working on Saturday's too. I get lazy after work and just hang out in the house without changing into anything special.

This last Saturday I stopped by at The Pearl Cup near my job for a nice relaxing coffee. A friend of mine recommended it to me. She said it's the "best coffee in the DFW" and guess what.... it is. It was the most delicious latte I have ever tasted. I might just never go back to Starbucks. Ha ha, j/k. That green mermaid will always hold a special place in my wallet. Anyways, Sunday I went to the mall for an hour or two and bought some tea from Teavana, stopped by Re-Threads (thrift store), tried an iced cold latte from Dunkin' Donuts for the first time and finally exhausted myself out and went home. What about you? Anything interesting?

I don't want it to stop!

My addiction to trying to new coffee or tea is making me nuts. I can't remember how many other coffee's I have tasted. I've yet to go out of my comfort zone from Starbucks and a Vietnamese house style to actually making an effort to drive to a different location. The weather doesn't make it any easier either. The constant change satisfies my needs. Hot or cold, a delicious blend of something new seems to always do the trick. It is amazing to see in pictures what I have drank, with the exceptions of the regular Joe's: Folgers, Maxwell House, Nescafe. Just don't ask me for any reviews because nine times out of ten I would have forgotten what they taste like. I will tell you however, that Vietnamese blends are much stronger than anything I have ever experienced.

Believe it or not, these are all faves of mine. Earl Grey latte (formerly known as London Fog) from Starbucks is usually number one though. Any faves of yours and any suggestions?

Uncle Uber's Sammich Shop!

NBC has a show called Non-Stop Foodies and in one episode I saw Uncle Uber's Sammiches. The name Uncle Uber is just a name. Just a fun place (no REAL uncle and uber for common "super" meaning) to have a bite in Deep Elum. I decided to try this place out for myself. I ordered a Pork Banh Mi (I've seen it spelled BunMi) and a Turkey sammich. The pork banh mi was a little odd for me. It wasn't as great as I was expecting it. The traditional Vietnamese banh mi's are better. Even still, not bad. The turkey sammich was delicious with crispy bacon strips.

One rebel at a time!

Frances Bean Cobain has to my rebel dream. Hedi Slimane photographs Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love's love child. It was shot in a traditional style of black and white where 18 year-old Frances shows off her tattoos and smokes in a rebel photo shoot. They were taken in around summer of last year but I simply can't get tired of looking at her.

Because I want to!

Not much going on today. I went to church earlier, now I'm at home finishing a Starbucks Earl Grey latte. Thinking of watching Jane Eyre again. Also, wondering how I'm going to pay to see Coldplay in concert this June. I am totally and utterly broke. My doctor's sister in law is trying to get me some free tickets. I am crossing my fingers. Hopefully I can say "Chris Marin, here I come". I don't think Gwen will mind right? I'm just a another crazy fan. Just Kidding!

After a little drool moment, I felt like showing two of my outfits from a long time ago that I just never bothered to load. A good friend of mine told me that I needed to take pics so that I could one day look back and see myself for what I once was. Not that one day after I have children I'm gonna let loose and look disgusting but just so that I can feel good about myself now. I need to preserve my beauty (haha) in pictures. By the way, I loath taking pics. You will hardly see me smile but here you go. Enjoy!

Second pic was a dress from Forever 21 that I tried on and did not buy. I was sure if I liked it.
